BritBox's favorite Triumph TR250
The 1968 Triumph TR250 combined the best (or the worst, depending on your point of view) of the beautiful Michelotti-styled TR4 body, with the 6-cylinder engine of the more modern (relatively speaking) TR6. Restoring and maintaining a classic sports car makes you feel like a wise and capable captain of industry representing the British Empire. When you drive one of these cars, people smile and wave and sometimes ask what kind of MG it is. BritBox looks great driving this car. YOU would look great driving this car.Classic British cars are quirky, ergonomically challenged, and loaded with idiosyncrasies. They smell like gasoline/oil/mildew/incomplete combustion, and generally started rusting before they left the factory. In other words, the nearly exact opposite of the modern "commodity" sedan. If you want to drive an anonymous, soulless transportation appliance that is as reliable as a clock, get a Honda Civic. If you want to drive for the sake of driving, drive a classic British sports car. There was even a name for it, they called it Motoring.
